Harry Potter and the Forgettable Finale

I am writing a blog post.
About a week ago my friends and I drove to a suburban mall theatre to view a double feature of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Parts 1 and 2. I had a great time at the theater for roughly the first two and a half hours of the experience. Unfortunately, I started to become uncomfortable and started feeling under the weather. I became relieved when I realized the source of my newfound illness.

Part 2 was shit.

Now I understand at least Jordan Wilhelmi (and others) will be reading this and demand an explanation for why I would suddenly spit in the face of a film franchise that has been a part of my life. Here it goes...

1. The motherfucking Epilogue... no more words needed.
2. There was no dramatic weight to the film.
3. Characters are forgotten about, only to just appear later in sequences with no explanations.
4. Albus Dumbledore's brother is a sexist.
5. There is no explanation to how Harry and the rest of the Order even enters Hogwarts.
6. Part 5 happens other times also. Hagrid just shows up in the woods.
7. The children are still shitty actors.
8. Too short.
9. There was absolutely no celebration by anyone after Voldemort's death. Everyone just drinks coffee and shoots the shit in small groups like at the Community Center Teen Night.
10. The deaths of major characters are handled by giving them throwaway shots during the "celebration" (Lupin, Tonks)

Fortunately, there are some things I DID enjoy.
1. The Dark Knight Rises teaser trailer.
2. The Pensieve Sequence at the end (where the only real dramatic weight of the film took place).
3. Ralp Fiennes as Voldemort, he was having a blast.
4. The motherfucking Epilogue. lololol'ing the whole night long.

A forgettable entry in the series. I hope the reboots do a better job.

ttyl.

Dear Kitty...

First post. I will continue to write on this when I have something to say. I will try to be as unfiltered as I can. Should be interesting.
